Wodonga rolling in new food options

Bowl and Roll has opened in Mann Central and Wodonga locals are loving it.

Owner Tim Wong opened the eatery in mid January with the idea of feeding residents healthy - but different - food.

“Many people are looking for some healthy food,” he said.

“Our main product is called a poke bowl which is a salad bowl. It’s very popular in Sydney and Melbourne and we couldn’t find any in the area.”

The name of the store - Bowl and Roll - comes from the dishes Tim wanted to serve.

They also serve Vietnamese rice paper rolls, Chinese spring rolls and Japanese sushi rolls.

Some hot bowl options will also be soon added to the menu, which Tim says will be popular in winter.

“We’re getting more and more customers each week,” he said.

Tim employs two part-time employees and enjoys being part of the Wodonga community.

“Wodonga is a nice area, we have lived here for five years, after moving from Melbourne,” he said.

“There are really nice people here.”

Bowl and Roll is set to extend its hours in late February, opening till 7.30pm on Thursdays and Fridays alongside its regular operating hours of 10am till 4pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday.
