New beginning for Nepalese hair stylist

Nepal-born Pra Gaire Poudel is living her dream after recently moving to Australia and opening a hair salon in the heart of Wodonga.

While Pra had been a hairdresser in her home country, she always imagined she would one day operate her own business.

She also moved to Australia to be with her husband and support his career as a chef with the Army at Bandiana.

Pra’s Hair Cut is located at shop 3 and 5 157 High St, Wodonga, opposite Woodland Grove, and provides a range of hair services for women, men and children.

The business also provides some beauty services such as threading and skin cleansing.

“We specialise in semi-permeant hair straightening with Keratin products,” Pra said.

“It’s a very popular treatment for women.”

The business opportunity came at an opportune time.

Pra knew the previous hair salon owner who was stepping down to spend more time with family and so it was perfect timing for both parties.

The business is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays from 9.30am to 4pm.

For appointments, phone Pra on 0466 461 234.
