Luxury skin and beauty treatments at new location

A beauty salon owner has grown her business space and client list after moving across the border to Wodonga.

J. Lux Skin and Beauty was operating in Urana Rd, Lavington before opening its doors at Unit 1/25 South St, Wodonga.

Owner Jacinta McGrath has embraced her new Wodonga location, saying her business is thriving.

“I am loving the new space, it’s much larger and Wodonga is growing so much,” she said.

“I used to work at the Wodonga Amcal Pharmacy in the beauty room for many years so I have clients from over here anyway and I have picked up many new ones.”

The business offers a range of services including waxing, special occasion makeup, tanning, eyelash and eyebrow tinting, brow lamination, skin facials, and other skin treatments such as LED light therapy and Fibroblast skin tightening.

The beauty salon has four treatment rooms, with room to grow.

“I have just started cosmetic tattooing for eyebrows and lips and that has been very popular,” Ms McGrath said.

The business stocks Issada cosmetics and skincare products and Ms McGrath has developed her own line of skin care called J. Lux.

“Good skin care is important to me and this range is all Australian-based plants, so it’s a very natural range,” she said.

“All the packaging is recyclable and I manufacture it in Brisbane.

“Some of the main ingredients include aloe vera and milk thistle, which is very soothing.

“Your skin is the largest organ in your body and I think it’s very important to watch what you put on it and that’s why I picked Issada as my alternative because they have the same views on the skin and their makeup complements their skin care.”
