Love at first bite

The new owner of CakesRlicious will now make a living from her true passion.

“Cakes have always been a big passion of mine and it was time to make that dream come true and have an incredible cake shop,” Nikkie Burns said.

Mrs Burns is running the Wodonga business located at 1/79 High St alongside her husband, Spencer.

“We have six kids between us so it’s something we wanted to do as a family,” she said.

Mrs Burns has taken over from the business founder, Katrina Copeland, and after some staff training over the past several weeks, the business officially opened on Thursday.

Born and bred in Wodonga, Mrs Burns said it was important to stay local.

“Come and see us for Wodonga’s best coffee, extreme milkshakes, cupcakes, cakes to grab and go when you need them and, of course, our incredible custom-made cakes,” she said.

“We have incredibly talented staff to create cake and cupcake masterpieces for every occasion from weddings to birthdays and other special occasions.”

The shop is open Wednesday to Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm.
