Mobile espresso bar providing more than just coffee

A new mobile coffee van will start operating from Wodonga’s Les Stone Park this week.

Connextions Wodonga, a non-for-profit social inclusion organisation, purchased The Little Vintage Van from a small business owner earlier this year.

The organisation offers employment support options to encourage participants to pursue their passions with the intention of turning those passions into paid employment.

ConneXtions employee Rochelle Smith will operate the coffee van with the purpose of upskilling participants in their hospitality and barista experience to increase their employability prospects.

“We are striving to give participants ample opportunity to learn and grow in their chosen field," she said.

“The business was acquired in April of this year and the van attended the RSPCA 4 Paws Walk. It was really well received by the community."

The Little Vintage Van provides quality, locally roasted coffee as well as snacks such as biscuits and slices.

Rochelle is looking forward to taking the van to Les Stone Park on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 7.30am and noon.

There are plans to expand to other locations including the Belvoir Park Dog Park.
